Mitsubishi Fuso Versus Isuzu Parts
Ever bought a nice copier that was a good buy price wise only to find out it uses a ton of toner & the manufacturer is the only source for an expensive toner cartridge? Acquisition cost is one thing, depending on other things like parts availability can cost you more in down time.
The GMC and Chevrolet versions of the Isuzu built cab over trucks along with Isuzu too have had part supply problems. If you own one of these trucks maybe you have already experienced this. Chevrolet & GMC dealers, who sold these trucks new, now have to buy some of their parts from Isuzu dealers. That wouldn?t be so bad if it were not for the fact that some parts are not readily available at times. Fuel pumps for gas engine versions of these trucks were on backorder for 3 weeks and this summer, condenser fans which the AC system depends on to work, were not available without any certain time of availability. The divorce between GM & Isuzu has not been a smooth one and both are dependant on the other to some extent.
You probably depend on your truck to make a living and keeping it on the road is critical. As a Mitsubishi Fuso dealer we are partial to our trucks for many reasons, one of those being that our supplying parts distributor ships an incredible 98%+ of all the parts ordered. This commitment to Fuso truck owners is just one of many ways the factory people from Mitsubishi Fuso have demonstrated a desire to make their product stand above the others.
